The restoration of the Hastings Building in downtown Hudson, MA revitalizes a prominent Main Street structure which has been largely vacant since the 1950's. The project includes a complete restoration and redesign of the buildings exterior - including storefronts and signage which increase the function of the tenant space and bring new life and excitement to the building. The storefronts on Main Street, as well as the new storefronts facing South Street, are designed to fit naturally into Hudson’s Historic District. Mahoney Architects provided architectural services to create a new, mixed use building, including six new retail spaces - three of which are located in a previously unused basement - and six new office suites on the upper two floors.
